I first got hooked on Bassline House back in the 2000s during nights out in Leeds. There was just something about the energy in the clubs and those heavy, wobbling basslines that grabbed me. It wasn’t long before I wanted to get involved myself rather than just standing on the dance floor.

In 2009, I bought a pair of Technics 1210s. I foolishly thought, “How hard can mixing really be?” It turned out to be a pretty steep learning curve, but I loved it anyway. Since then, I’ve spent years practicing, experimenting with different sounds, and sharing my mixes online for anyone else who’s into the genre.

I always include full track list with my recent mixes on Sound Cloud. If you hear a tune you like, you can easily look up the producer and support them. Keeping the scene going is what it’s all about.

More recently, in July 2024, I decided to try my hand at production. Making my own Bassline tracks and remixes has been a whole new challenge, but I’m really enjoying the process of learning and figuring it all out. Have a listen if you’re curious, and feel free to let me know what you think.
